"A Thanksgiving Get Together"

This past Thursday (11-27-2014) I was invited into my neighbor's home for their celebration of Thanksgiving, and I must tell you that the meal was . . . wonderful!  In fact, it was the best meal that I think I've had all year.  No don't get me wrong, I do like to eat; but this was a feast, a gift, and certainly a blessing.  

We may not all come from the same ethnic origin, geographic local, or age group; but we do all come from the same source.  And while they were born in Africa, I was born in New York.  We even look different, and to some people our cultures would seem worlds apart; but not for us, as we see things in a different way . . . the ancient Ubuntu way.

To coexist with each other, in harmony . . . is our true purpose.

As this weekend draws to a close, and great thankfulness has been expressed by many, the course that we chart for ourselves from this moment forward . . . is increasingly important, to all of us.  

So open your closed eye, and see the power you hold within yourself.  Know that you are part of the sum-total.  Realize your connection to all life as you gain greater perspective, and focus on your true purpose.  May that purpose be peace, love, and compassion for all that is, both known & unknown.

Remember that in the end, this physical life & body are temporary.

And as such we must not get hung-up on that which is temporary.

Instead, go beyond yourself to see . . . and make your presents known.

It is sure to open your perception of how life is, and the beauty that is available to us all,

For us to be at peace, we must first acknowledge that which is not seen, or spoken;

but rather, understood.

1) it's hard work, 2) it's temporary, 3) it may kill you.

Beyond that, the course you choose will most assuredly deliver to you what you seek. 

Then in the end, . . . you should be exactly where you need to be, as a new beginning starts . . . NOW ~
